New Year's Wishes from Josh!

I wanted to say hello to you and wish everyone a very healthy and happy 2012. Hope you all had wonderful holidays. Ours was a little strange. Our house was broken into on the Wed. morning before christmas. Some jewelry taken from us but nobody hurt as we were not here. One of those things we always think happens to other people but then all of a sudden it's your turn. At any rate, we are well and we shall move forward.
I just wanted to say thank you for your continued support especially since my time on the show has been a little sparse the last two years. However, I have hopes that that will change this year and that Roman will be more present. Again , I want to wish you and yours a very Happy New Year and thank you again.
Much Love and Appreciation,
Josh

Thanks for Fan Day!

Josh's thoughts on November 5th Day of DAYS Fan Day:
"Fan Day, as usual, was incredibly fun and satisfying! It's always nice to actually interact with the people that have been so loyal to us for so long. You do meet some really nice people who are very appreciative for that opportunity, but also we feel just as appreciative to meet them. I wish everybody a happy Thanksgiving and happy holiday season!"

July message from Josh!

Hi Friends

Been a while. Sorry about that but I do appreciate those of you who have hung in there. Thank you! I had not been working very much and kind of felt like I didn't have a whole lot to say to you. And my parents always told me " if you don't have something good to say, don't say anything at all " . Ha! The good news during that period of time however was that I did sign a new 3 yr. contract which I was very pleased about. Unfortunately, as you know, as of Sept. there will only be 4  " soaps " left. I always hate to see that as I do know people on those shows that have been cancelled and wish them the best. Who knows? Maybe some of them wind up on DOOL. At any rate, the good news is that DOOL is still rolling along and will be guaranteed to be on the air for the next 2-3 yrs. until the next contract and then hopefully many years after that! So keep watching and make sure NBC is aware of how much you love the show
Speaking of which , as you know there have been some big changes made lately and I think you are all going to be pleased with the results. Several of your former favorites will be returning plus some new additions that I think you will approve of. And from a personal viewpoint, I have already been much more involved in the show which obviously makes me very happy. Our new writers are co- head writers Marlene Mcpherson and Darrel Ray Thomas Jr. They know the history of the show well and have great new plans for the show that will seem more like the DOOL you all knew and loved. Noel Maxam and Greg Meng are our new Executive Producers with Noel being in charge of our every day activity on the floor. He is youthful, energetic and very talented. He loves the show and has a great eye for what makes a scene work. And he is terrific at working with actors. Greg has been with DOOL for a long time and " gets it ". He also loves the show and is dedicated to keeping it on the air for a long time. We also have a new publicity dept. and they are excellent at what they do. They too are ready to jump in and get the show kicking . So basically, it amounts to a lot of new energy in and around the set and everyone has a little extra bounce in their step.
Well, it's nice finally having a chance to catch up with you. I hope my summary of what's been going on has been helpful  and informative. I will try to do this more frequently than I have in the past and, again, I thank you all for being there for the show and for me. Take good care.

     With much Love and Appreciation,
           Josh

New Greetings!

Dear Friends,

Thank you for responding so well to the website. It is always great to hear from you and I find your comments very informative and helpful. As you know, we have had a regime change at the show, Ed Scott (long time executive producer at Young and the Restless) has come on board and brought several good people with him. We are enjoying their energy, expertise, and new ideas. Everyone seems to have gotten a shot of adrenaline as a result. I personally have had some really fun things to do in the last few months storyline wise i.e. being buried alive, stabbed, and saddled with a bomb, those are very challenging things to do for an actor and I was glad I was able to do them. Also, I have enjoyed the fun, light comedy stuff that they have given Bo and Hope and Roman to do. Also the drug induced comedy stint that I was able to do with Bo. Peter Reckell (Bo) was a tremendous help and a good team-mate in those scenes. By the way, Peter and his wife Kelly, just had a baby: 6 lbs. 9oz. All is well for them.

Like I said, just wanted to touch base, catch you up and let you know all is well with me. Lisa and I are enjoying life and about to celebrate our 8th anniversary, it does go by fast. But that’s what they say when you are having a good time! Please take care and thank you all again for your support, friendship and your comments. Until the next time.

Hello

Hello folks,

It’s been awhile but things were a little up in the air for awhile. But, as they say “ all's well that ends well”. I did sign a new 2 yr. contract but then had to wait for DOOL and NBC to come to an agreement to make sure it wasn’t monopoly money. Ha!. Well. They did, so we are back in business. I’m sure you have all heard that James Riley was replaced and that we now have a new Head Writer. His name is Hogan Sheffer and he won four emmys writing for As The World Turns. I am sure that most of you were thrilled with that from what I kept hearing. I know the cast is looking forward to getting back to doing more grounded storylines. Mr. Sheffer’s stuff doesn’t begin until the first of October so we’ll see then what he has in store for us. I hope this is finding you all well and good. I promise not to let so much time go by this time but as I said there wasn’t a whole lot going on other than waiting to see what happened. Now that things are back in order hopefully we’ll have more to talk about in the future. Until then, take good care!

With Love, Appreciation, and Respect,

Josh Taylor ( Roman Brady )
